Perth City is situated between the Darling Ranges and the Indian Ocean and along the banks of the Swan River. The city is bound by the river to the east and south and to the west is Kings Park, which has over 400 hectares of natural bush. The view from Kings Park is spectacular, overlooking the city and the Swan River. Perth is the sunniest capital city in Australia with an average eight hours of sunshine a day. The summer months of December, January and February have an average temperature of 30°C during the day. The warm days are cooled down in the afternoon by a sea breeze, known as the Fremantle Doctor. The winter months are June, July and August and the average temperature is 18°C. The majority of Perth’s rainfall is during the winter months but the days can still be mild and sunny. The currency used in Australia is the Australian Dollar.

Hire a car and take a trip up the coast to enjoy a fun filled adventure on the Desert Storm. You can also incorporate your tour on a day trip to the Pinnacles at Cervantes. The Pinnacles are a two hour drive north of Lancelin. Indian Ocean Drive will link Lancelin to Cervantes and is currently under construction. When open this coastal highway will make the journey shorter.
